Just a reminder to all, there is no Edinburgh Touch Superleague for the following 2weeks due to the large number of players involved in the European Championships.

Superhands traveled to sunny Stirling for the opening tournament of the 2010 Scottish Touch Series (STS). The Club entered 2 teams, Superhands and Superhands Academy.

The "Superhands" team made the cup semi final to finished in 4th position which is the highest ever result (to date) reached by the Club in the STS. "Superhands Academy" integrated many new players and finished in the 12th position out of 17.

The tournament was won by Six Pack after a thrilling final against Meerkats.

The second tournament on the France tour, was a lot more relaxed in terms of draws. No silverware to be gain but pride still on the line. Some hard games against French national teams, hopefully some inside knowledge was gained to pass on to the Scotland Squad for Euro’s. Amazing hospitality and lots of fun had by all, a great way to finish off the trip.

Friday 21st May 2010 dawned sunny and hot in Edinburgh. Add ten degrees and Superhands were converging on the leafy Parisian suburb of Gif-Sur-Yvette for the famous Gif tournament. Disaster had already struck though, as we got word from Trev that he had missed his plane after mislaying his passport. Sharing our commiserations and hoping that he would make it out for the rest of the tour to Toulouse, we accepted this great loss to our male number...and imprinted his name several times in the fine book!

Twelve teams from all across Scotland took part and Superhands were pleased to be able to register 2 teams in (Left and Right). It was a very positive day for both with the Left Team finishing 2nd in their group and therefore qualifying for the cup semi finals (lost to NZ Babas) while the Right Team won the bowl competition.

What comes to mind when thinking of Slut Monkeys, Rob Lee, and Beliefs? Or how could a brand of biscuits be so powerful that Trevor would be forced to go cold turkey on them? Why did I spend my Sunday night falling asleep to thoughts of ‘Would Sule find him attractive’ and then dreaming as I finally did sleep of Madonna and John Major? What about Dave is so special that when he pees in the woods everyone shouts out their observations, while I pee in humble silence?
